Goodbye Maw-Maw Anna Lee
We had to say goodbye last week to Maw-Maw Anna Lee..my grandmother, Avery's great-grandmother. Her death was sudden and unexpected and we miss her so much. Here are the most recent pictures we have of her, taken at Mardi Gras, just 3 weeks ago.

Valentine's Day Party
We had a great Valentine's day. Avery had her class party (see pics below)She ate so much candy and goodies, I though that she'd never come down off her sugar high.
Valentine's night we stayed home and ate a meal together as a family. My wonderful husband prepared us a fantastic meal of filet mignon, king crab legs, baked sweet potatoes and green beans....on top of feeding us, he also did all the laundry and cleaned the house! This meant more to me than any expensive gift or fancy dinner! What a guy!

Flowers from Avery
It's the little things in life that count the most sometimes....
Avery picked me some clover flowers in the yard and brought them to me. She smiled at me and said..."I picked you some flowers, Mommy!"
It was her first time to pick me some flowers. I actually teared up at how sweet of a girl she is. She melts my heart daily.

It was finally warm this weekend to play outside. We stayed in the yard almost the entire weekend. It was GORGEOUS weather and so relaxing..

Bestest Friends
If you ask Avery who her best friend is, she will tell you, Maggie, a girl in her class at school.
This weekend Avery's cousin Case came over to play. Case and Avery are the same age and they play so good together. And I love hearing them talk to one another.
"Avery, you are my bestest friend." Case told Avery as he was feeding a play bottle to one of Avery's dolls.
"Ok, you can be my bestest friend....but don't tell Maggie" she replys nonchalantly.
