Girl Time!
Shae was in Atlanta for a quick business trip so Avery and had some 'girl' time. We went out for pizza and then got pedicures afterwards. Avery is so girly, she loves getting her toes painted and her hair done. I even reminded her that the girly things we do are special for just her and I...Baby Brother won't be partaking in pedicures! She liked that idea.

24 weeks Preggo update
I hit 24 weeks preggo today and I am feeling great and have lots of energy. According to the "What to Expect When You are Expecting" App on my iPhone, the baby is as big as an eggplant and weighs 1.7 lbs. And does he kick! Feels like 2 ferets chasing a ball in there sometimes instead of baby kicks.
I've been keeping my 3 day a week gym workouts and it's really helping to keep my body strong and in shape through this pregnancy. I've gained 10 lbs so far and my Dr says that I'm doing excellent with my weight gain. I can just tell that my body is handling this pregnancy much better than my pregnancy with Avery(I credit the workouts and alot less cheeseburgers!) Emotionally, this one is harder...I'm very anxious and weepy than I was with Avery. I was just fat and happy with Avery, this one has my emotions on a rollercoaster. I wonder alot about how I will handle two chidren. I worry about Avery feeling left out :(
I have yet to start on my nursery or name this baby either! I keep thinking that I have lots of time left for all of that but not really! I guess I better get on the ball soon.

Time and Money
I'm in awe about how much Avery is learning in Kindergarten. When I was her age, kindergarten was a half a day and we took naps and played mostly. Times have changed!
Not only can she read most simple words, she can sound out just about anything else. She loves math which makes me happy because I was always scared of math in school! On nighs when she doens't have homework, she will ask me to write her out some addition and subtraction problems for her to work through. Her class is also learning about money and currency and they had a 'garage sale' in the class and she got to buy and sell items. I was glad to see that she came home with a little hot wheel car for her baby brother on the way :) Maybe she is turning a new leaf in that area??? They are also learning how to tell time...it's amazing...at 5 years old!
She's really into computer use too..she loves the Nick Jr website and can navigate that page better than I can. She loves learning and I am tickled at how much she just loves it and absorbs everything. LITTLE SPONGES kids are :)
I've heard 1st grade is pretty intense at her school so I am glad that she's learning so much in Kindergarten. Her teacher just raves about how smart and sweet she is...and the only issues is that Avery can be a little chatty in class, but we seem to have nipped that in the bud. She told me she wants to be a nurse like her Nanny when she gets older because she wants to take care of sick people. I hope she keeps her sweet and loving disposition always!
