Kate Robinson

I am now a blogger!!! Background on me..I am a 28 years old real estate appraiser, happily married to my college sweetheart and mother of the most adorable one year old baby girl. We live in Louisiana, out in the country in a small town. I am a graduate of LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY (GEAUX TIGERS) with a B.S in AgriBusiness and a minor in Business Adminsitration/Speech Communictions. I love spending time with my husband and daughter, gardening, reading and shopping(what woman doesn't?)

My days lately have been spent preparing for my daughter's one year birthday which is next week. I didn't know how much effort has to be put into these things. I started off trying to make things as simple as possible but that hasn't happened!

I am an avid animal lover. We have 3 dogs, Max, our Yorkie who is 5 years old..we call him our 'first child' , Coal, our black lab who is also 5, he is my husband's hunting partner. And Jolie, our German Shorthair Pointer who is 1 year old. Thankfully, the big dogs stay outside in a dog pen but max stays inside with us and sleeps in our bed..Between my husband and I...Max is very jealous and had a hard time when we had our baby...he's getting better.

Avery is our daughter and the love of my life beside my husband. Motherhood has changed my life so much, all for the better. I can't imagine my life without her. And on top of that she is just the cutest thing ever. She has started taking steps and it won't be long before she is walking. Her first birthday is kind of bittersweet for me. It is awesome seeing her grow up before our eyes but kind of sad that she isn't my little baby anymore. I miss rocking her and feeding her bottles. Now she wants to crawl around and chase Max and ride on the lawnmower with Shae. Shae calls her "Sweet Pea" Fatherhood has changed him too. He is calmer and more patient than he was before(so am I, now that I think about it) He loves playing with her and taking her outside to see the dogs and ride on the lawmower and the golf cart. She just lights up when she sees him too...I think she is gonna be a daddy's girl!
