We spent this past weekend at my in-laws house because we had one last haul of stuff to get out of our old house.
It always makes me laugh to hear Avery manipulate her grandparents (both sides) She knows how to get what she wants from them and they are powerless against her extreme cuteness.
Shae and I were watching a movie in the media room at my in-laws when Avery strolls in sucking on a baby bottle filled with juice. A REAL baby bottle, one she used to use when she was a teeny baby.
Shae and I laughed and he asked her, "Why do you have that? You aren't a baby anymore?? You are almost 4 years old"
Uh, huh, I'm my Nana's baby!" she replys very matter-of-factly.
We just laugh at the spoiling. My mom says that's the whole point of being a grandparent is to spoil your grandchildren and then send them home to mom and dad.
Like the time Shae and I came home from work and my mom and dad were staying at our house and babysitting Avery...I always try to get Avery to eat healthy...and they had mentioned that morning that they were going grocery shopping. I come home after 5pm just in time to catch my dad feeding Avery cotton candy that he insisted she wanted at the store. Take into mind that she was barely talking at this point of her life and indicated that she 'wanted' the cotton candy by merely pointing to it.
Yeah, it's that easy for her to get her way. It's amazing how soft our parents have gotten since they've become grandparents. You just gotta laugh!
